Finished-product evaluation · U.S. stock support

Evaluate TiO₂ replacement against the complete coating specification.

Protect hiding, gloss and film integrity before deciding whether a reformulation is commercially useful. The anonymous TiO3 case provides a specific technical screening example.

Current grade, quantity and release timing are confirmed for your request.

Evidence and next step

What the reference supports—and what your trial must establish.

One industrial coatings producer reported a TYNOX TiO3 trial replacing 50% of the original TiO₂ mass. Overall performance was described as promising, with a small gloss reduction. A successful adjustment and production adoption were not established. Complete test conditions and numerical hiding or gloss readings were not supplied. The result is qualitative customer feedback for that formulation.

Finished products to discuss

  • Industrial white topcoats
  • Opaque primers
  • Customer-defined coating systems

Qualification gates

  • Hiding and color at the required dry-film thickness
  • Gloss at the specified angle
  • Viscosity, dispersion and application behavior
  • Adhesion, film integrity and durability
  • Finished-formula cost at accepted performance

A practical sample plan

Control. Staged screen. Finished-product decision.

  1. Define the incumbent controlRecord Binder system, incumbent TiO₂, pigment/filler loading, film thickness, gloss and hiding targets, application method and trial timing.
  2. Agree the candidate and test planConfirm grade fit, current documentation, availability and staged starting levels with Henneke Holdings and the supplier.
  3. Run matched comparisonsUse the same process, geometry and measurement method. Record all acceptance gates and processing or yield effects.
  4. Decide on technical and commercial fitConfirm cost per accepted product and the next production-validation step. A supplier screening example is not a guaranteed outcome.
