Finished-product evaluation · U.S. stock support

Evaluate TYNOX in white PP storage products, lids and molded parts.

Start with the opacity and appearance your finished part needs at its actual wall thickness. Then screen a suitable TYNOX grade alongside the incumbent TiO₂ control.

Current grade, quantity and release timing are confirmed for your request.

Evidence and next step

What the reference supports—and what your trial must establish.

DuoKem’s March 2026 plastics presentation reports two PP laboratory references at 35% replacement of the original TiO₂ pigment mass. Reported opacity changed from 94.54% to 94.55% in one comparison and 95.46% to 95.47% in the other. These small changes do not establish a significant improvement. Specimen thickness, processing and mechanical results were not supplied. These are supplier references, not tested customer parts or a universal replacement recommendation.

Finished products to discuss

  • White storage boxes and utility trays
  • Molded lids and industrial covers
  • Opaque PP components

Qualification gates

  • Opacity and color at the same wall thickness
  • Surface appearance, weld lines and shrinkage
  • Mold filling, cycle time and scrap
  • Mechanical properties required for the end use
  • Cost per accepted part, including processing and yield

A practical sample plan

Control. Staged screen. Finished-product decision.

  1. Define the incumbent controlRecord PP resin, incumbent TiO₂ grade and loading, addition method, wall thickness, molding conditions and pass/fail targets.
  2. Agree the candidate and test planConfirm grade fit, current documentation, availability and staged starting levels with Henneke Holdings and the supplier.
  3. Run matched comparisonsUse the same process, geometry and measurement method. Record all acceptance gates and processing or yield effects.
  4. Decide on technical and commercial fitConfirm cost per accepted product and the next production-validation step. A supplier screening example is not a guaranteed outcome.
